Service detailsThis service has been put together with various options. The person planning the service should decide which hymn/songs they want, and which readings. They can then cut out the ones that are not going to be used, add anything else they want to put in and print off the service sheet. At the end there are the various suggestions for music and the templates for the water lily leaf and dragonfly. |

This service is based on the book Water Bugs and Dragonflies - explaining death to children by Doris Stickney published by Pilgrim Press 2004. The service takes that theme and develops it into a complete service of remembrance. At the front of the gathering there is a table or altar. On the altar is a blue cloth and placed on the cloth paper water lilies and water lily leaves. On the centre of each water lily place a lit nightlight.
